Catalunya wrap up

The Vuelta Catalunya is now in the books and Garmin wrapped up a close 2nd place overall after a hard week of racing with Dan Martin.  The last two days were my favorite kind of racing. (note sarcasm here).  We went full gas attacking at the start, full gas attacking the category 2 climb, full gas on the twisty descent and cross tail wind, spending most of the day in a single file line that never broke, end ended in a field sprint.  Lots of suffering for 15o dudes to all finish together!  Ouch.  Well, Dan stayed out of trouble to the finish and it was a nice easy transfer 30 min back home to Girona.  Im glad to be home to eat some real food.  The food at our last two hotels was so bad that it was just funny.  The pasta must have been cooked a week earlier and stored in the fridge, then served cold.  The steak was not much better that shoe leather.  The funny thing is that the waiter is all dressed up in a suit and serving you individually.  Not sure how they can do that with any pride at all.  I pretty much skipped dinner the last couple days and subsisted on rice, Clif Nectar bars, and bananas.  Thank god for hot sauce.  I was actually relieved when the US AntiDoping Agency paid me a surprise visit during dinner for an out of competetion test!At breakfast yesterday we had coffee that truly tasted like BBQ sauce.  As well as powdered eggs, sausage(possibly from a can), and mushrooms (definitely from a can).  Actually i didnt have any of that, but thats what they served us.  Nothing but the best for the ProTour.Looking forward to some sunny days and getting some recovery on.Thanks for checkin in
