Changing it up in slovenia
April 16th, 2009 Posted in News“Dober dan” from the slovenian alps. I’m in the mountain town of Bled this week visiting some friends and getting a little R and R and some good training in. Its nice to be somewhere different for a bit and mix up the routine. I just finished up an amazing training ride my buddy Donny pacing in the car. A ski guide in the winter at Alpine Ambitions, he did an sweet job guiding me on this ride! I just throttled it to the top of each next hill behind the car, just these insane little mountain roads up and down and all over. I think we saw 6 cars in 5 1/2 hours. Riding at higher altitudes was nice too. A 2 meter high cut in the snow bank from the snow plow made it like riding through a snow canyon sometimes. Then bomb back down to the valley where its nice and warm again! Definitely on my Top 5 Rides of All Time list. Topped it off with a traditional Slovene pastry filled with meet. Good stuff!
“hvala!”
Thanks for checking in
