Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Typical.  On tuesday it was 70 degrees, and i was riding in shorts and having a picnic in the park with my dog Karli.  the next day, I was braving 25 degree temps on my mtn bike wearing everything I own.  And today its even colder with 4 inches of snow.  This winter and cold weather is a shock to the system after an entire November of training in warm sunny days!  I have a new secret weapon that helped me out in the cold though, my new Camelbak Undershirt with a water reservoir in it!  I filled that sucker with boiling water, put er on, and rode around nice and toasty for the next 2 and a half hours!  Not a bad thing to have in the cold.  Finally this weather has got me thinking about skiing, so Loren and I are heading up to Beaver Creek to watch the mens World Cup Giant Slalom on Sunday.  I always gotta get my fix of World Cup ski action.  Cant wait for that.  Its great too because it always ends up being kind of a ski racer reunion…all my old racing buddies and coaches and everyone end up at the World Cup for a few days.  Pretty neat.   Check this link out to see what its like bombing down a race hilll at 80mph!Well I gotta get goin, Karli’s been out in the snow for an hour, i better go get her before the dog catcher does. Thanks for checking in
