Mt Evans
July 22nd, 2008 Posted in NewsI had the legs to win, but didn’t. Three days later and I’m still frustrated about the finish. I should be happy with 2nd, but I really don’t like to miss opportunities for race wins. Oh well, at least I felt good which is no small feat when racing at 14,000ft above sea level.
Took the past couple days pretty easy, trying to rest up and doing some gardening around the house. I’ll be doing the mid-week crit tonight in just a couple hours, then a long ride in the mtns. tomorrow. After that, Timmy and I’ll will be heading to Salida for a three day stage race. Timmy won’t be racing but instead will continue to put in some ’safe’ miles while continuing to get back to the bike. Maybe I can get him to make my bottles and pump up my tires!
If you’ve got a moment, check out my teammate Emile’s recent crash, just click the link then go to the ‘video’ button below the photo of the crash.

Heard about the ‘finish’ on Mt. Evans from your dad. That bites.
That video is amazing.
