Next up…Limousin and Plouay

August 16th, 2009 Posted in News

I’ve had a good week of recovery at home in Girona this week after Burgos.  Didnt do a whole heck of a lot but discovered a new SICK training ride up in the mountains.  Tiny little twisty roads that go forever.  They almost made me car sick riding a bike on them.  One descent is so intense I had to pinch myself to pay a little more attention after almost crashing a couple times!  There were thesw blind roll overs that you would almost catch air on and then dive into another super tight turn.  Crazy.  Found a nice blackberry patch on the way up to snack on for a couple minutes too.  Gotta love late summer.Anyways, after  my 6 + hour adventure yesterday, the body is woken back up and tomorrow I’m off to the Tour du Limousin, August 18-21.  Located in the middle of nowhere, France, Limousin is a race of constant up and down on little bumpy roads.  Yesterdays ride was definitely a good warm up!Then 2 days later we head to another corner of France for the one day ProTour event, GP Plouay. When all is said and done I’ll either be heading to the Vuelta Espana or US Nationals /Tour of Missouri soon after.woops, gotta go, a giant bumble bee just flew into my house. Gotta go catch himthanks for checkin in,Thanks for checking in

    Timmy –

I’m sure you’d prefer the Tour de Espana, but hearing there’s a chance you could make it to Tour of MO is exciting. If you do end up coming here PLEASE let us know so we can be sure we’re there to cheer you on (and to convince your family to head out here as well)! :)

    Take care,
    Julie
