out of oz and on to Malaysia
February 5th, 2009 Posted in NewsI’m hanging out at the Sydney airport waiting to board my flight to kuala lumpur for the tour de langkawi. It always cracks me up to see most of the flight lined up and boarding an hour early so they can spend another hour on a cramped plane. The flight is already eight hours! Normally I’m the last one on the plane so I’ve got my feet up in the waiting area near the gate with a book and a coffee until the very last minute. They’re not gonna give away your seat right? Another minute not on an airplane is a good minute. Anyways, I banged out a good 4 hours training early this morning. It was a good last day here because I saw my first real live wallaby on the roadside and had a good aussie meat pie for lunch. And only one flat tire. That was good since a few days ago between cj, Christian, and I we had 7 flat tires and a broken chain in one ride. It was one of those days you know? I had a flat in the garage before I even left so we kinds had a feeling from the beginning we should have just stayed home!
I’m really looking forward to langkawi coming up here with a solid race under my belt already along with a few weeks of heat acclimatization, so its gonna be good. Well, ive delayed long enough, should probably get on the plane now. See you in 9 hours.
Thanks for checking in
