The best day of my life!

The season ended and the past six weeks have been a blur. Jennifer and I were wed on October 10th. It was an absolutely perfect wedding, and we both had an amazing time! It was so much fun to have all our friends and family in town, and for us to show our commitment to each other in front of everyone. We have a wonderful slide show if you’d like to see some photos.

After weekend getaway it was back to ‘real life’ once again. For me some cross training, which of course included a bunch of hunting. In my continuing effort to introduce more people to my favorite sport, I finally got Timmy to get a license and chase some deer around the woods. Both Timmy and Blake Caldwell headed out for a week of deer hunting with my Dad and me. Blake even had a broken and completely separated collar bone – how he was able to shoot a rifle I’ll new know, he must be one tough guy!

Before I knew it, it was time to get back on the bike. I’m now three weeks into training for ’09. I’m actually feeling really good on the bike but I’ve definitely got some fitness to gain back. Jen and I are planning and getting excited for our honeymoon in Hawaii coming up mid December. My plan is to continue with some super consistent training then take that week off as a rest week. So I’m hoping that the weather here in Colorado stays nice enough for me to have a solid base of training before heading to the beach.
