The hardest race nobody has ever heard of

Halfway through the vuelta catalunya, the hardest race that nobody watches or has even heard of. Ha ha.  We finished at over 2000 meters in andorra today, so its literally all downhill from here to the coast in Barcelona. Ok we will for sure go up some more hills the next 3 days actually. Sometimes the downhill stages end up being really hard!
We had a good day today with Dan powering his way up the final climb to almost take the stage. The lone remnant of the days breakaway was 3 seconds in front!  Now he’s a close 2nd overall, but with no big mtn finishes to come were gonna be looking for some sneaky moves and time bonuses.
Yesterday was another top 3 for Dan while I sailed off the edge of the final descent to the finish.  The guys in front of me stacked it and I had nowhere to go but into the woods.  I closed my eyes and hoped I wouldn’t hit a tree.  Luckily I just landed in a massive and nasty thorn bush. I’m still picking thorns out a day later. After I was hoisted back up the embankment and found my bike off in the woods I coasted down to the finish. So far the 2 crashes ice had after my really bad one last year have been scary fast descending crashes, so at least I’m already back on that horse.
All right checkin out, thanks for reading
