Vuelta de Mexico

Two short days at home found me cramming in some planning for the upcoming wedding. Then before I had even settled in at home it was back to the airport for a night flight to LA. From LA we caught our 1:30am connection to Auguascalientes Mexico. We finally arrived at the hotel around 8am this morning and after a quick bite it was time to try and get some sleep after being up for most of the night. We’ve got all day tomorrow to get in a solid ride and to try and get the body ready for the 8 day Vuelta de Mexico. On paper it looks to be a tough race with some long windy stages with plenty of climbing. This will be my final race of the season so I gotta go out with a bang. Upon returning home, I’ve got a couple weeks to finalize plans for the wedding and to spend some time with family and friends. Hopefully I’ll also figure out team stuff for next year and get a contract signed so I can begin looking towards a productive winter.  I’m not sure what the internet will be like the next week here in mexico but I’ll try to keep the updates coming.
